Carine Glades Shopping Centre and Floreat Forum are going solar.
APIL has recently commenced installation of a 100Kw solar power system at Carine Glades Shopping Centre covering approximately 30% of the centre’s roof space. The 300 panel installation is forecast to reduce the Carine Glades annual electricity carbon footprint by approximately 10% the equivalent of 23 homes annual electricity consumption*.
The installation of a 1,000Kw solar energy power system at Floreat Forum is soon to commence and will cover approximately 15% of the roof space. The forecast electricity reduction at Floreat Forum is the equivalent of 228 homes annual electricity*. This installation of 2,000+ solar panels will reduce approximately 23% of the Forum’s annual carbon footprint.
Both Carine Glades and Floreat Forum Shopping Centre are key community shopping precincts in Perth’s northern coastal area.
A similar solar energy power system has been installed at APIL’s Byford Marketplace Shopping Centre in Perth’s south-eastern suburbs. The centre is benefitting from a sustainable, clean energy and efficient electricity source that has been welcomed by both tenants and customers.
